Be Featured: The Nomination #3

"The Nomination" is Photoetry's dA-wide project where we give 5 unseen artists the opportunity to get themselves or their friends featured in a news article that comes out every 20th of the month. It is in accordance with our group's goal to further develop the potential of our members by giving them the chance to receive more feedback and get more exposure in the community.

Now, who is an unseen artist? In our opinion, it is anyone in dA who has been a member for less than 3 years and does not have more than 6000 pageviews. Also, we consider his/her artwork to be unseen if it has less than 20 faves or has not received a max of 15 comments from 15 different people (excluding replies).

My blood writes epics on the floor
Revealing the secrets stowed away in my core
I'm begging for you to find no more
But now I'm not just losing the battle, but the whole war
And new cut, right down my chest
Every memory I've tried to repress
Every sin I never confessed
Shown in a maze too complex
And suddenly, I've ran out of ammunition
And along with that, my ambition
To continue with this useless petition
I know I've been beaten, or so says my intuition
And I wish this was a badly written story, entirely fiction
But you're still going through each of my body section
Tearing out my skeleton for later inspection
Because right now, you'r Just A Girl - Not A PoetI'm not a poet
[i stumble and trip and fall over my words
clumsily pasting together letters and apostrophes
my Q's missing U's and my words missing vowels]
I'm not an author
[words only tumble and drop out of my mouth
landing in an undignified heap on paper
running and squishing together to make a jumble and mess of ink]
I'm just a girl
[who stays up until odd hours of the night
curled up in the blankets with a pen and paper
writing to be accepted into the world]
